Believe that you have what it takes and spread your talent to those who don’t have the God given gifts that you do.
Once upon a time, true hoopers were judged on if you could make your teammates better. It wasn’t about you getting yours but more about the magic of the game. Believing in the basketball Gods that no matter who I had on my team, we could make it happen because of my passion and willingness to believe that my skill-sets alone would be enough to propel us. Hoopers understood that you could empower others by passing them the rock and being unselfish, not getting mad and frustrated when someone makes a mistake, and digging deep inside of yourself to tap into something special about the game of basketball: belief.
Begin to believe in your teammates and trust them on the court. Pass them the ball in crucial situations and pat them on the back if it doesn’t work the way it should. If they miss a shot or make a mistake, you get it back for them. Don’t let your body language disrupt the team chemistry and personal/friendship bonds you have with your teammates. Smile and embrace the moment no matter what. Never walk around pouting and showing negative body language against those who support you.
Begin to approach the game differently and don’t let your will to win get the best of you. Stay positive on the court and never lose the confidence of your teammates. Cheer them on so that the basketball Gods will shine down on you with Love and prosperity. Believe that you have what it takes and can spread your talent to those who don’t have the God given gifts that you do.
