During the 2022 Hoops4Hunger Tourney, 2023 Crystal Henderson showed why she belongs in the conversation as one of the top PG’s pushing the rock this season in the State of GA. The younger sister of NBA G-League Scoot Henderson was special, playing back to back games after a tough loss against Hoover(AL) the night before. It’s super early on the 2022-23 GHSA Girls HS Hoops circuit but Crystal out of Kell HS, has definitely been working on her craft each year, improving from the first time we saw her as a freshman. She’s a leader on the floor and her basketball IQ is off the charts. She has a will to win which you could feel Saturday night, as she was able to impose her will against a very good and well coached Griffin squad. Depth might be the Achilles heel for Kell this season, as they only suited up seven hoopers. With that being said, if Crystal and the rest of their squad can stay out of foul trouble plus stay healthy, they’re going to be a tough out for 6A opponents come playoff time in February.
