Lazaria showed why she’s rated a 4-Star Prospect per ESPN during the Qwikcut Clsssic Summer camp this past week. She extends the defense with her ability to shoot from beyond the arc. She can rebound and push with good open court decision making. She has a good mid range game and her defensive skills are evident with her ability to defend with her length and good feet movement. We were a bit disappointed in her energy and passion on the court that you see out of top recruits. We understand that it’s summer ball and (maybe it appears on paper) she doesn’t have a lot of pieces around her but we would like to see her a lot more active on both ends of the floor, play which much more passion, and begin to make her teammates around her better by leading by example. She brings so much to the table with her size and agility that she can put her team on her back. We want to see her embrace the fact that she’s the focal point on her team and thus begin to play with fire and passion every time she steps on the floor.
