2022 CG Sydney Bowles led Woodward Academy to the 2021 GHSA Class AAAAA State Championship, getting the 62-59 dub at Macon Centreplex on March 11, 2021, and doing it over reigning champion Forest Park and 5-Star South Carolina signee Sania Feagin. Sydney’s stock will definitely rise on the AAU circuit this summer because of her ability to play three positions, handle the rock throughout the game with the mindset along with the skillsets of a PG, and her tenacity and killer instinct on the court. She’s a problem for smaller guards because of her size (6’1), frame, and willingness to bring it. She challenges your ability to defend. Very offensive-minded but a team-player as well, she’s always looking to distribute and drop dimes to her teammates. Sydney hooped last season with Georgia Pearls (seen above) along with Sania Feagin. ESPN currently has Sydney rated the #4 position, #25 overall player for her class. Look for Sydney to put up big-time numbers during her last season on the AAU circuit.
