From what we can see, the future of the Girls HS Hoops game in GA is legit. Freshman ready to step up and take their game to the next level, is becoming the norm. As a rookie? Yep. These young solders are the next woman up. Showing skills and leadership qualities beyond their years. What’s up with that? It’s simple. Players getting into the lab at an early age, developing a passion for the game, and getting tutelage from those who really understand the game of basketball.
That brings us to this young hooper out of Stockbridge high school who does just about everything for her ball club. It’s Xmas time and look for Santa to be stuffin’ them stockings with goodies. I’ll take Carrington as my stocking stuffer, forget Santa. She currently has a MaxPreps stat sheet of 25.9 pts, 8.8 reb, 4.9 stls, 2.8 ast, and 1.3 blks. Good Lord! If these numbers are correct – and we aint’ doubting the accuracy of MaxPreps – but as a Freshman? We talkin’ about Freshmen? BTW, these numbers were before last nights (12/11/20) performance against Dutchtown, where she carried the team on her back, showing poise and a conservative style of play that (we feel) will blossom into a full blown beast when it’s all said and done. If she continues to develop at this pace under Stockbridge Head Coach Anthony Palmer – who also happens to be Pops – Carrington is going to be a 5 Star hands down cold assassin.
