Tyrese Windham
6’0 CG
Class of 2019
Birmingham Charter High
Pros:
Heady guard who scores from all three levels. Shows a passion to get to the rack and finish among the trees. Adequate ball handling skills but will need to stay in the lab working to become elite with the rock off the dribble. High energy guard who will have to find his niche running the PG at the next level. Don’t know too much about this young man’s work ethic, mental fortitude, or academics but we like the potential and upside of his game from what we’ve seen.
Cons:
On the small side (6’0) and plays off the ball a lot. Will need to focus on leadership and developing his PG skillsets. Should focus more on shutting down defenders, becoming a focal point on the defensive end of the floor. Tyrese hasn’t really been on the radar, playing in the City Section, which might leave a bad taste in the mouth of scouts wondering if he can truly turn up against stiffer competition. Birmingham Charter had a battle-tested schedule, allowing this young man to develop thick skin. Popscout feels he’s a low-mid major selection.
A few clips of Tyrese Windham during their 69-53 defeat February 16, 2019 versus Westchester. We like what this young man brings to the table.
