Windward, Mater Dei, Redondo Union Advance in Nike TOC

The Nike TOC has proven to be the granddaddy of them all.  It religiously brings together the top programs from across the country, having them duke it out to see who will eventually bring home the ‘ship and true bragging rights. So. Cal. squads are representing the West Coast extremely well, with three of our teams headed to the semifinals.

CLARE – (Big Boy Division)
Windward vs Christ the King (NY) 530pm BallerTV

Windward and Charisma Osborne have been on a roll since their surprising defeat to Bishop Montgomery during the 2018 Redondo Union Battle @ The Beach Tourney.  Charisma is back at 100% which means problems for defenses trying to check Miss USA Basketball. You can bet she watched a few episodes of Dora the Explorer and will have her backpack handy against Christ the King.

A win would mean a chance to play Redondo Union.  It would also erase any doubts about the level of play the Monarchs have this season.  Many are beginning to wonder about the level of play and if Mater Dei has what it takes to play with the big boys.  A win this afternoon and tomorrow would erase all the doubters..except those who wonder why they chose the lower Joe Division and not the Clare.

Redondo Union should be healthy after its long layoff.  Its proving that rest and relaxation might be the way to go early on.  Redondo has gone 2-0 in the JOE division, taking on Highlands Ranch (CO) today at 1pm.  If the Lady Seahawks can get the W, it might set up a CA showdown with Mater Dei who plays in the other semi at 2pm.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
