A look inside a few games for

Boys Games

Mission League
Chaminade @ Loyola 7pm
Alemany @ St. Francis
Notre Dame (SO) @ Crespi 7pm

Crespi (22-2, 9-0) has a lock on first place in the Mission League and should go on to be one of the 8 selections for CIF SS Open Division playoff pairings.  Brandon Williams has bounced back impressively from his season long injury last year, becoming one of the most electrifying PG’s on the SoCal B-Ball Hoops Circuit.  He may not drop 52 as he did on Alemany in the picture above, but he may get close tonight, against Sherman Oaks ND, playing in his own back yard.

Cantwell Sacred Heart (17-7, 2-3) @ St. Bernard (13-9, 2-4) 7pm
Cantwell Sacred Heart hits the road in hopes of avenging its Jan.17 loss to St Bernard by the score of 62-54.  So. PG Ian Martinez has been special.  Look for him and his brother Avery (UTEP commit) to try and pull the Cardinals to .500 for conference play.  After looking impressive during the Classic @ Damien. St. Bernard has had a bit of a down year, posting an under .500 record for conference play (2-4). Look for them to try and regain a bit of composure rounding out the season and heading into the playoffs.

Bishop Montgomery (23-0, 6-0) @ Cathedral (13-6, 3-2) 7pm
Word on the street is that Cathedral has a few more pieces in place after the new year.  They’re going to need it –  and more –  if they intend on knocking off Bishop Montgomery this season.  The Knights are battle tested, taking care of all opponents on their way to an undefeated season – ranking #3 Nationally per Maxpreps.  During the recent Rolling Hills Prep State Preview Classic (1/27), they proved why they continue to be recognized as the team to beat, handing Fairfax an L in an impressive, defensive, 60-43 performance.  Rest assured that Coach Mitchell, The Knights, and UCLA commit David Singleton are primed and ready for an Open Division State title run.
