Ribet Academy (14-1) faces Granada Hills Charter (6-2) today during the Nice TOC. Game time is slated for 5pm in Phoenix, Arizona. It would’ve been great to have this barn burner in our own back yard, but at this point, Popscout will take what we can get. Whenever two high caliber ball clubs compete against each other, it ultimately answers one question: Who will show up and show out on a big stage.

It doesn’t getting any bigger than the Nike TOC, Teams from across the country come in and look to cement themselves as THE program on the national stage. GHC and Ribet Academy both look like top 10 teams, getting the most out of their players, showing the ability to maximize team chemistry. GHC might have the edge in the coaching category, as head coach Jared Honig knows the right strings to pull for getting his players to perform. This was evident during their 55-54 defeat of Sierra Canyon December 7, 2017. GHC played their butts off and came up a point short, on a night when the W could have went either way.

Help is on the way for the Fighting Frogs – in the form of a 6’9 Stud-muffin who brings her A game when she ties up her Lady Jordans. Andrea Aquino has been waiting patiently in the wings, giving advice to her teammates and mentally taking things in while riding the pokey. GHC might be too much to handle, on a night when Ribet Academy won’t be at full strength. Ribet tried the next man approach (missing their starting PG Justina King) during their 75-41 defeat at Sierra Canyon December 16, 2017. Put an asterisk next to that L, as the Frogs were playing in back-to-back games after defeating Alemany the night before 59-53.
Should be a great game, pitting two Girls programs that will definitely be on the Radar come March Madness.
