Tevian wears a chip on his shoulder which seems to be a good thing for this young man from Chandler, AZ. He balled for Cal Supreme’s Elite Team and was able to hold his own this summer during ‘The 8’ Tourney hosted by BigFootHoops. A bit of an unortodox player but we like the all around game of this young man. Decent motor, likes to get to the bucket and finish with authority; will need to continue to refine his perimeter skills to keep the defense honest.
Decent on the ball defender needs to focus in on help defense principles and sitting to become a serious defender. Runs the floor very well showing he can rebound and push the rock. Could use some lab work on his handles in order to be able to triple threat and take his defender off the dribble and finish with confidence and consistency. Tavian is being considered by several major D1 schools and has an offer from Nevada and Illinois.
