Throwback Fridays: Oak Park vs Chino Hills

Oak Park Junior Forward Riley Battin is multi-dimensional –  showing the ability to effect the game in a multitude of ways,.  Image taken at the 2016 Redondo Union PAC Shores Tourney.

Oak Park takes on Sierra Canyon today at 6:30 pm in the Sierra Canyon Invitational Tourney, in a match up that will show just how potent a player this young man (Riley Battin) is.  Showing the ability to step up during big game, raises your stock and gives you that boost of confidence needed to advance your game to the next level. The mental component of the game is something that must be developed and nurtured over time until you develop that killer instinct.  You have to get to the point where you score 50 if need be and the focus is just about winning.  Above is a throwback game where Oak Park takes on Chino Hills and of course, Chino Hills puts it down, winning by 40 in the 2015 Maranatha Summer Block Party.  Keeping your chin up as a program and a player is critical  after enduring tough losses.  With Sierra canyon playing at another level, it will be interesting to see just how much Oak park can keep them in check and possibly pull out an upset.  That’s why we play the game.

Become Great at what you do.
