Basketball 101: Finishing

Executive Prep shows some good skill-sets as a unit.  Image taken at the 2016 Maranatha Rose City Classic.

How do you develop the mental toughness not only to finish games as a player, but to show the wherewithal to finish games as a unit.  There’s as old saying where I come from…it’s not how you start but how you finish. Finding yourself in the trenches during crunch-time can be a daunting task… for most.  Many thrive in those situations – showing the ability to carry their team on its back and come away with the W.  It also comes down to the coaching staff pulling the right strings and drawing up those X’s and O’s you feel me.

Take a look at a few minutes of the 4th Quarter where Fairfax takes on Executive Prep during the 2016 Maranatha Rose City Class hosted by the Maranatha Minutemen and Coach Tucker.  Fairfax was missing a few pieces but was able to secure the victory.  We didn’t record all of the 4th, but you get a good idea of mental toughness and the ability to make plays when it counts.

Become Great at what you do.
