1988 Crenshaw Cougars

Crenshaw High School was known for its powerful basketball teams who were able to dominate teams under Head Coach Willie West, Assistant Coaches Joe Weakley, and Maurice Duckett.  Take a look at most of the 1988 City Final which was played at a sold out LA Sports Arena in Los Angeles, CA.  Crenshaw was ranked #1 in the nation for most of the season and was given all they could handle under Head Coach Reggie Morris, Sr. and his very talented Manual Arts Team.  I’m number #11 for Crenshaw, sharing the point guard duties with #14 Damon Hill.  We were the business.  But at the end of the day, victory was short lived as Manual Arts, who were also ranked high by USA today, went on to win the 1988 CA State title after knocking off Crenshaw. in OT, in the So.Cal. Regional Finals.

Become great at what you do.
